LOPE: A Low‐Overhead Payment Verification Method for Blockchains

With its characteristics of decentralization, security, data traceability, and tamper-resistance, the blockchain has been widely used in various domains. Considering difference performance devices, light client is proposed so that devices without ability to store a full copy can also participate transactions. However, communicate with nodes verify authenticity transaction which brings some extent communication, computation, storage overheads client. These cannot be ignored for low-performance such as embedded or IoT chips, therefore current scheme does not work this situation. We propose LOPE (a Low-overhead payment vErification method) poor-capacity system. In LOPE, grouping protocol designed partition into groups serve verification requests addition, Practical byzantine fault tolerance (PBFT) ensure get credible result spite few dishonest existing group. conduct evaluate it testbed.
